Ordering Information

How to Order - Use the shopping cart! Unless you want to order custom art, in which case you should email me (pantheoncomics[at]gmail.com) to discuss what you want.

There's even more stuff for sale on my CRE'ATURES website, if you're interested.

How to Pay - In Australian dollars through PayPal or (for Australian customers) bank transfer. I'm willing to consider other payment methods, but you will be liable for whatever horrendous fees are involved. ;).

What's an Oz dollar worth? - Currently something in the vicinity of US$0.90, £0.50 and €0.60. Check with XE.com. If you're overseas, Paypal will do the currency conversion when you pay.

What about the postage / shipping? - The shopping cart talks to the Australia Post website and calculates postage costs based on your location and the weight of the items you've ordered.

Within Australia you can choose standard Parcel Post (2/3 days), Registered Parcel Post (insurance and signature on delivery) or Express Post (1 day).

Internationally you can have regular Airmail (3-10 days, usually takes about a week) or Registered International (also 3-10 days, with insurance and signature on delivery). If you really feel like shelling out, there are other options such as Express Post International and Express Courier International, but they start at around AU$40, so they're not good value for small light parcels.

If you're only buying patterpillars, they usually only cost as much as letters to send, but they seem to take as long as parcels (up to 10 business days) to arrive. Select the appropriate "patterpillars only" option in the shopping cart. In general, it's about $1.10 within Australia and $2.10 internationally.

In most cases, 2D custom artwork will also be able to travel as a letter. Cost is something on the order of $1.10 within Australia and $4.20 to the USA.

I generally go to the post office twice a week, so your orders should arrive fairly promptly. Bug me at pantheoncomics[at]gmail.com if there's a problem.

About

More information, for those who are interested

My name is Tim Brand and I'm an artist/entrepreneur living in Sydney, Australia.

In general, my toys appear under the name CRE'ATURES (that's "create-tures") and my artwork under Pantheon Comics. Both are just me making stuff, nothing fancy.

CRE'ATURES has a site of its own (patterpillarshop.com). A couple of years ago, I sold a variety of custom-made soft toys there, but eventually I got burned out on sewing and disappeared. Now I'm back, with my simplest and most popular toy, the patterpillar. And I'm working on a new kind of custom toy, which will be a customisable kit, so you can all do your own sewing!

While the materials patterpillars are made from are manufactured overseas, they are sourced and cut to shape by Australian businesses and assembled by yours truly. This makes them as homegrown as they can get (until I work out how to breed them in the backyard). Try finding another toy as affordable and entertaining as the patterpillar that was made with love by the artist who created it!

Patterpillars are made from synthetic fur fabric, which has an acrylic pile and a polyester backing. Clean them with a damp cloth if they get dirty, and air-dry them if they get wet. Definitely don't put them in the clothes dryer! Don't give them to kids younger than about four, because the eyes, while pretty firmly attached, could still be a choking hazard if removed.
